Building on the foundation of the WE ACT project — which reached over 150 women politicians and nearly 100 civil society organizations across seven regions of Türkiye — D84 has continued its work to strengthen women’s political participation at the local level in 2025. Through tailored training sessions and mentorship programmes, the project supports elected women politicians in navigating the challenges of local governance and amplifying their voices in public life.
Workshops have been organized in İzmir, Adana, Hatay, Eskişehir, and Diyarbakır, reaching women politicians across diverse political and geographic contexts. The programme takes seriously the structural barriers that limit women’s participation and offers practical tools — from political communication to negotiation — to help elected women lead more effectively and visibly.
