However, the data at our disposal shows that the spread of prosperity throughout society—as well as the increase in productivity and efficiency that strengthens the middle class, the backbone of democracy—is closely linked to the provision and protection of liberties.
This book takes the story from the very beginning of the universe to the saga of humanity on earth, and from there, holistically addresses the path leading toward the increase in prosperity brought about by the liberties that flourished with modernization and their protection by the law. It presents the relationship between liberty and prosperity—a concept not fully understood in our country—with persuasive and rich evidence.
